My scalp gets dry in the winter, so I got this to help prevent my scalp from being dry, itchy and flaky. I don't have braids, but I've used scalp products recommended for braided or natural hair with success.The consistency of this seems right. It's thick enough to scoop out and spreads easily. I part my hair in sections and smooth out a small amount along each part. Then I comb my hair out. My hair doesn't look overly greasy when I use this and by the time I wake up, I have a moisturized scalp.It seems to be working, and I'll continue to use it this winter.

I struggle with really bad scalp issues every single time I get braids. Before I applied this serum, my scalp was dry with dandruff and scabs and was extremely itchy. I have never put oil in my scalp. I was curious because lately we have been putting oils in baby's scalp for cradle cap, but I read to use 1 oil, not a combo of oils. I usually do online research if an area is new to me. I read the pros and cons of sleeping with oils on your scalp. the con for doing so would be for clogging the hair follicle pores. also read up on some ways to prepare hair once the oil is on for sleeping.Overall, the product has excellent oils. I have been getting into oil balms for my skin. this has many of the same oils.my CON for the product is that the full ingredient list is NOT provided on the online ad page. I am not a chemist or scientist, but just reading the side of the box list of ingredients, this looks to have mostly a blend of oils. for that, I would think they would want to share that news.I like the scent of the product.I will be doing a test (by wearing it for a short period of time, before extended use with sleeping) for the day, I will use one of my foil hair caps to keep the hair most. I Imagine: this should be similar to using Batana Oil that is very oily and leaves an oil residue behind. I usually deep condition my hair once a week when I have time in my day to keep my foil cap on.anything significant, I will come back and update.
